Presbyterians are rightly concerned about how their per capita and mission contributions are used by the higher governing bodies of the denomination.

In the area of life issues, there is hard evidence that member contributions are used to pay for abortion coverage, including partial-birth abortion coverage, by the denomination's medical benefits plan. Member contributions also are used to support lobbying for abortion by the Washington Office and the work in support of abortion rights by the Office of Women's Ministries, The Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy, The Advocacy Committee on Women's Concerns, The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice and Presbyterians Affirming Reproductive Options.

There is no official denominational route for supporting life. Some individuals and sessions do contribute to Presbyterians Pro-Life through their presbyteries, but PPL is not a denominationally-recognized mission. No denominational mission money supports PPL.
